Our Approach

Our ApproachOur strength is in our integrated, customised approach that supports clients from the initial design and prototyping stages to production and logistics.

At Corti Srl, we firmly believe that the success of a project lies in the care and attention given to every single phase of the production process.

For this reason, we offer an integrated and customised approach to provide our clients with comprehensive, ongoing support. From the initial concept of the product to its final realisation, our team of experts works closely with the client to ensure that every detail perfectly aligns with their needs and expectations.

Phase 1Design and Development

1. Research and Analysis: in this phase, market research and analyses are conducted to verify product feasibility and understand how to realise it. Market trends, applicable regulations, and available technologies are examined.

2. Design: after gathering the necessary information, the design phase begins. CAD software is used to create detailed models and define technical and functional characteristics.

3. Material Selection: it is essential to choose appropriate plastic materials based on the required properties, such as strength, flexibility, and compatibility with the production process.

Phase 2Prototyping and Testing

1. Prototype Creation: prototypes are created using 3D printing or mechanical processing techniques. These prototypes are used to evaluate the product’s design and functionality.

2. Testing and Evaluation: the prototypes undergo various tests to verify their performance, quality, and compliance with design specifications. Mechanical, thermal, and chemical tests are conducted.

3. Design Optimisation: modifications and improvements to the product design are made based on test results to optimise performance and address any identified issues.

Phase 3Production

  1. Material Preparation: after ensuring that the materials are in optimal condition for processing (e.g., dry and uniform), the selected materials are prepared for production.

  2. Material Injection: the plastic material is heated until it becomes fluid and is injected into the mould through an injection machine.

  3. Cooling and Solidification: after injection, the plastic material in the mould is cooled to allow solidification and to assume the desired shape.

  4. Mould Extraction: once the material has solidified, the product is carefully removed from the mould to avoid damage.
  1. Material Preparation: the most suitable compound for moulding is cut into strips and weighed.

  2. Insertion into the Mould: the rubber strips are placed into the mould, which is then closed under compression.

  3. Vulcanisation: vulcanisation time is set between 10 to 90 minutes at 140°C to 170°C, depending on the selected compound and product size.

  4. Mould Extraction: once the mould is opened, the product is manually extracted and trimmed.
  1. Preparation of Metal Parts: the metal parts are sandblasted to remove impurities. Based on their material, such as aluminium, iron, steel, or brass, they receive specific adhesive coatings.

  2. Rubber Preparation: the most suitable compound for moulding is cut into strips and weighed.

  3. Insertion into the Mould: the rubber strips and metal parts are placed into the mould, which is then closed under compression.

  4. Vulcanisation: vulcanisation time is set between 10 to 90 minutes at 140°C to 170°C, depending on the selected compound and product size.

  5. Mould Extraction: once the mould is opened, the product is manually extracted and trimmed.

Phase 4Finishing, Quality Control, and Dispatch

1. Finishing: parts removed from the mould may need finishing to eliminate excess material, trim edges, and achieve a smooth surface.

2. Quality Control: all products undergo thorough quality checks to ensure compliance with technical and design specifications. Visual inspections, dimensional tests, and other specific evaluations are conducted.

3. Packaging and Dispatch: the finished and verified products are properly packaged to protect them during transport.

4. Recycling and Waste Management: production waste is managed, and plastic materials are recycled whenever possible to minimise environmental impact and enhance the sustainability of the production process.
